Have you ever been hijacked? Have you ever been part of identity thief?

Many people have already been attacked and some people don’t know yet that they are a victim of identity thief. I know it is easy to put out your information in Facebook, Twitter and Myspace and common social boards but you need to think twice and even sometimes three times before you do it. With the world wide web (www) still booming and its not slowing down anytime soon, you need to be careful.

Here are some common overlooked issues that you can prevent:

1. remove your birthday
2. use a nick name if possible
3. remove your phone number
4. remove your home address

These are just some of the things that a common thief can use from you to learn more about your identity. Here is a great website that can give you more detailed information on what ‘NOT’ to do.

Florida Expo Event at the Germaine Arena in Estero Florida

CompTech Care was at the Florida Expo in Estero Florida on September 28 and 29 of 2009. Fun filled day with free games and give-away to new future customers.  

Friday night was a busy night for the CompTech Care crew. We setup and installed our 47” Philips LCD TV and showed many people the technology of what a computer can do to enhance your entertainment experience. We had several hi tech shooter up games for the kids to play and the adults to watch. We also installed our 5.1 stereo surround system directly to the computer. We installed game controllers to show the hi-tech graphics.

We also had on display our advance Security Digital Video Recorder (DVR) systems with one long range infrared Sony night vision camera. Many young adults found it fun and amazing to see themselves being recorded. At the end we were able to playback the video for customers to see. We also brought with us at the Expo several basic Voice Over IP (VOIP) phones to display and show.

Jim Davis, Hunter Mater, Sylvie Reichmann and Dale Mater were present to talk to everyone. We handed out CompTech Care discount coupons and informational flyers. We most likely meet with at least 300 potential new customers.  

CompTech Care crew had a great time at the Florida Expo at Germain Arena.

We would like to thank everyone and hope we will see everyone at the next Florida Expo in February 2010.
